Kleinfeld, Judith. (2008, May 23). Internet can be a
Dangerous Weapon. Anchorage Daily News.
This article covers the subject of the danger of the
Internet, its effects on people, their workplace, employers, and exclusively
cyber bullying. The author’s purpose of this
article is to warn us that cyber bullying can happen to anyone, not just
teenagers but adults, too. With this, we
have to be careful what we post online, because posts can be spread and read
very quickly by people. In this article,
Kleinfeld points out that girls are more likely to be victims of cyber
bullying, based upon the Pew Internet and American Life Project. Also, more than 1 in 10 teenagers said
someone has spread a rumor about them online.
Kleinfeld explains about cyber bullying, how it is dangerous by using a
real life situation through a girl named Megan.
She hung herself because she was cyber bullied. Cyber bullying is very serious that it should
be stopped. This is something
significant that we should all pay attention to, so we will know what to do if were
in these kind of situations. Social
Media is a great place for communications, on the other hand, can sometimes
harm others.
